Affiliate Disclosure
Ditch the SaaS is reader-supported. Some links on this site — mostly to VPS/IaaS providers, domain registrars, and the occasional piece of hardware — are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up or buy something, I may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and in a few cases (like VPS referral credit) it actually gets you a discount.
Here's the actual rule I follow: I don't recommend a tool, service, or provider I haven't personally set up and run. Every guide on this site is written from a real deployment — real cost, real RAM usage, real gotchas — not a spec sheet. If something breaks or the pricing changes, I update the post rather than leave a stale affiliate link up.
Currently active affiliate relationships:
- Vultr — VPS/cloud compute, used in several homelab-vs-cloud comparisons on this site.
A few others (DigitalOcean, Amazon Associates) are in the application/approval process and will be added here if and when they go live. I'll keep this page current as that changes.
None of this affects the actual content of the guides — the setup steps, the pricing numbers, and the trade-offs are the same whether or not a link happens to be an affiliate one. If you'd rather not use an affiliate link, every provider mentioned can be reached by just going to their site directly and searching for the product by name.
