About

Ditch the SaaS is a blog about replacing SaaS subscriptions with self-hosted tools — written by Jordan Cole, a solo operator who actually runs this stuff day to day.

What this is

Most "best self-hosted alternative" content is written by people who never installed the thing. This isn't that. Every post here comes from tools I run myself: real setup steps, real monthly costs, and what actually breaks when you're the one on call for it.

What you'll find here

Cost comparisons between SaaS tools and their self-hosted equivalents, hands-on setup guides, and honest notes on where self-hosting isn't worth the trade-off. No sponsored placements dressed up as reviews.

Some posts contain affiliate links — see the full Affiliate Disclosure page for details on which programs and how it works.
